The Islamic Culture Foundation (FUNCI) has sponsored the course Almunias del Occidente Islámico: Solaz y Producción (Almunias of the Islamic West: rest and production), which took place at the School of Arabic Studies – CSIC in Granada from 9 to 12 May of 2013.
It was especially adress to History, Art and Archeology students, as well as to architects and botanists interested in heritage interventions, and rehabilitation of historical gardens.
Almunias were farms property of the urban elite minorities. One of the main themes of the course whas the rehabilitation of the Agdal Gardens in Marrakesh that FUNCI is leading within the framework of Med-O-Med.
