FUNCI in Budapest, against Islamophobia

FUNCI participates in the seminar hold in Budapest this week, which is called Educational Responses to Islamophobia and Intolerance against Muslims in Europe within the framework of the campaign “No hate speech no movement”. FUNCI seeks to contribute to this seminar through its 30 years’ experience.

The seminar aims to explore and understand the dimensions of Islamophobia and its expression through online hate speech and explore the role of education in combating it and promoting religious tolerance and understanding. The seminar will also make concrete proposals for actions and initiatives to implement online and offline.

This event is gathering 20 young people coming from all over Europe. Among them, our projects technician Fran Martín is taking part on it. It is therefore a multicultural encounter which hopefully will be enriching for all.

Place: European Youth Centre Budapest
