Courses

Simultaneously to the exhibition “Islam, a Shared Heritage”, the Foundation offers a series of short courses for volunteers, teachers and social workers. Their goal is to delve more deeply on different aspects of the Islamic civilisation, so that during future visits to the exhibitions tour leaders and group guides can use this information to their advantage, to better engage their audience and involve them more closely with the subject of exhibition.
Aspects that are discussed in these preparatory courses include, among others, the history of the expansion of Islam, the traditions and celebrations of the Muslim world, its religious customs, artistic expressions, and understanding of nature. These courses take place at the Foundation’s meeting rooms in Madrid, or at other institutions throughout Spain.
