
From our ethnocentric Western perspective, we usually think that problems are only dramatic when they affect us. We rarely think of the things happening far from us, and we frequently create an emotional and information barrier with foreign issues. But this dire pandemic is affecting us all, without distinction of race, social class, latitude or distance. The only difference are the transmission cycles.
