The 2011 Edition of the Anna Lindh Journalist Award, created by Anna Lindh Foundation, of which FUNCI forms part, was officially launched on the 6th of April during the Arab-West Media Dialogue Forum, an international event which took place at the League of Arab States Headquarters in Cairo. The event was inaugurated by Amr Moussa (Secretary General of the Arab League), André Azoulay (President of the Anna Lindh Foundation), Jorge Sampaio (UN High Level Representative for the Alliance of Civilizations), and brought together around 150 media leaders, opinion-makers and academic experts.
